You are requested to carefully read the following Privacy Statement of Eleanor before providing personal data. A list of definitions can be found in the general terms and conditions.
Company Data
The domain names www.eleanor.tech and associated subdomains hereinafter referred to as the Platform, are part of Beste Mensen BV, registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam under number 67049303. Eleanor, part of Beste Mensen, is an online platform that connects Freelancers and Clients.
Personal Data Protection Act
Eleanor handles User data with care. Personal data is treated and secured carefully. Eleanor makes the greatest possible effort to comply with the requirements of data protection laws. Users can access their data at any time and at no cost, and may modify or delete it if desired.
Personal Data and Third Parties
Eleanor points out that when you forward your personal data to third parties, Eleanor is not responsible for the use of that data by those third parties. Eleanor therefore advises you to verify the identity of the third party to whom you send your personal data.
User Data
In the context of services provided, Eleanor records User Data in the Database. Only User Data that is relevant to the conclusion of an Agreement (e.g., in case of a hire) between a Company (which hires a freelancer), (external) Broker (contract handling & financial administration in case of a hire), Eleanor, and/or the Freelancer can be shared via the Platform with direct stakeholders.
However, it is possible that Eleanor is obliged to provide certain data, for example to the police within the framework of an investigation. Eleanor will only provide data in these cases if it is clear that it is a justified request from those to whom the data must be provided.
Eleanor uses your data for the execution of the Agreement. Furthermore, your data may be used to inform you about interesting offers of other products and services from Eleanor. Eleanor strives to take your preferences into account. If you do not appreciate this, you can indicate this to Eleanor via the settings in your Account.
Visit Data and Cookies (Cookie Law)
To make this webPlatform work properly, we sometimes place small files called cookies on your computer. A cookie is a small text file that a webPlatform stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit a Platform. This allows the webPlatform to remember the pages you've visited and your preferences (such as username, language, font size, and other preferences) so you don’t have to re-enter them each time you return to the Platform. Most major webPlatforms do this. By continuing to use this webPlatform, you agree that cookies will be stored on your device and data will be collected. Eleanor uses the information from these cookies solely for analyzing and improving the Platform and services. Eleanor will not share this information with third parties. This Platform uses functional and analytical cookies.

We use cookies to measure how many visitors come to our webPlatform with Google Analytics. Google Analytics tracks which pages you visit, how you got here, and basic information about your computer. The information we gather helps us understand which parts of our webPlatform are doing well, how visitors arrive on the webPlatform, etc. Like most webPlatforms, we use this information to improve our webPlatform for you.
You can always check and/or delete cookies. Read more about this at aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies on your computer and set your browser to block cookies. This does mean that you will have to reset your preferences on each visit and that some parts of the webPlatform will not work (properly).
In Eleanor, there are a number of “sharing/share/like” buttons from social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google). These buttons also place cookies related to their domain.
Links to Other WebPlatforms
If you follow an external link that leads you away from our Platform to another Platform, please be aware that Eleanor no longer has control and influence over the content of that other webPlatform. Eleanor therefore accepts no liability for that content unless Eleanor was actually aware in advance that the content of that other webPlatform was unlawful. In such cases, Eleanor will investigate the link and block it if necessary. The terms of use and privacy statement of such linked webPlatforms may differ from the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement applicable to Eleanor's Platform. Eleanor advises you also to read these to gain insight into how they collect, use, and share information about you.
Data Security
Eleanor respects the privacy of every registered individual and ensures that personal data is treated confidentially and with the greatest care. All personal data is securely stored in Eleanor's administration. This Database is only accessible to Eleanor staff as far as necessary for their role. Eleanor makes reasonable efforts to secure its systems against loss and/or any form of unlawful use and implements appropriate technical and organizational measures, taking into account the state of the art. However, Eleanor is not liable for data loss, damage to files, unauthorized access to computers or files, viruses spread through advertisements, or any other consequence of making data available to Eleanor.
General Terms
Eleanor applies General Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all offers and Agreements with Eleanor as well as the use of the Platform. You can view, print, and download these terms via the link on the Platform. If you have further questions about Eleanor's Privacy Policy, please contact the contact address listed on the Platform. Eleanor reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Statement. Check the Platform regularly for an update.

Information and Communication
Eleanor takes the utmost care to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the data on her Platform. However, inaccuracies and incompleteness may occur. We do not guarantee that (the content of) Platform is complete and/or correct. You accept that Platform only contains the functionality and other features as you find on Platform at the time of use (“as is basis”).
Eleanor is not liable for any form of damage resulting from the mention of incorrect and/or incomplete information.
Further, Eleanor is not liable for any form of damage resulting from the use of the Platform or the inability to use the Platform due to malfunctions and/or interruptions. Eleanor does not guarantee that sent emails or other electronic messages will be received and processed in time and we accept no liability for the consequences of not, or too late, receiving or processing them. Eleanor is always authorized to adjust the content of the Platform.
Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyright, database rights, trademark rights, and trade name rights, regarding (the content of) Platform, including but not limited to the data, images, sounds, texts, databases, photos, software, logos, and all other materials contained therein – including the combinations thereof, belong to Eleanor or her licensees, except content that you post yourself through the Platform. Without prior written permission from Eleanor, you are not allowed to publish and/or reproduce the content of Platform unless it is necessary to make normal use of Platform and/or it is permitted under mandatory law. In addition, it is not permitted to request and reuse a (non-)substantial part of Platform (repeatedly and systematically) in the manner as meant in the sense of the Databases Act. Third-party information and Platforms Platform may contain information from third parties and/or may refer to Platforms of third parties (e.g., via a hyperlink, banner, or button). Eleanor has no control over this information and content of these Platforms. Therefore, Eleanor accepts no responsibility and/or liability for this information and content of these Platforms.
Choice of Law and Jurisdiction
Only Dutch law is applicable to your use of Platform as well as this disclaimer. Disputes arising from this disclaimer will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
